福岡・柳川｜有明海に船を出して潮干狩りyanagawa

柳川から船を出して有明海の干潟の潮が引くのを待ちます。
だんだん海の水が引いていき、干潟に降りて潮干狩りをしました。
アサリに赤貝、時々泥の中にアカエイもいるので棘に気をつけます。

We set out on a boat from Yanagawa and waited for the tide to go out on the tidal flats of the Ariake Sea.
As the sea water gradually receded, we went down to the tidal flats to dig for shellfish.
We found clams and ark shells, and the occasional stingray in the mud, so we had to be careful of their spines.

夢中で貝を掘っていると船頭さんから「そろそろ潮が満ちてくるから上がってください」と声がかかりました。
船頭さんは船の上で魚介類を使った料理を作って待っていてくれました。
みんなでいただいていると、どんどん海水が満ちてきて船が浮かび上がりました。
たくさんのアサリを抱えて帰りました。

As we were engrossed in digging for shellfish, the boatman called out to us, "The tide is about to come in, so please come up."
The boatman was waiting on the boat, having prepared a seafood dish.
As we all ate, the seawater continued to fill the boat, and the boat floated up.
We returned home with lots of clams.
